Canopy Hotel

The Canopy Hotel in Minneapolis brings new life to the historic Advance Thresher and Emerson-Newton buildings, originally constructed in 1900 and 1904. Although the two buildings share the same roof height and appear as one, they differ in scale—one is six stories and the other seven. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the structures were transformed into a 183-unit hotel that blends historic architecture with modern amenities. Our team provided plumbing and HVAC services, ensuring the updated systems deliver comfort and efficiency while maintaining the character of these iconic buildings.

To help offset rising payment processing costs, we will be implementing a credit card processing surcharge on all invoices paid by credit card, effective April 22, 2026.

A surcharge of 3.5% will be applied to the total invoice amount when payment is made by credit card. This fee reflects the actual cost charged to us by our payment processor. In compliance with Minnesota law (Minn. Stat. § 325G.051), you will be notified of this surcharge verbally at the time of each transaction, and notice is also posted at our place of business.

To avoid this surcharge, you are welcome to pay by ACH transfer, check, or cash, which will remain free of any additional charges.
Please note that this surcharge applies to credit card payments only and does not apply to debit card transactions. The surcharge is subject to applicable Minnesota sales and use tax.
